So I had the opportunity to attend with a friend a very interesting seminar on a program called Brain Balance. This was very interesting for children that have ADHD and Sensory Integration Disorder as well as a host of other disorders. A friend of my is considering doing the program so I will be anxious to hear about the results. Unfortunately, I am very interested in the program as well but the dollar amount is a little steep for now. The entire program is approximately 6,000 dollars including blood work. Although it seems high it covers a lot of what I am currently doing with Tyler. And, when you add that up…well let’s just say we are in the same range. I can’t do the program justice all I can tell you is that it focuses on all of the senses and coordinating the left and right brain to work together. Following and intense therapy series of 12 weeks 3x a week incorporating diet and supplement guidance accompanied with Gait, Visual, Auditory, Fine Motor, Gross Motor exercises. These are just a few things that they do…there is so much more. The results you can expect to get are increased academic performance, decreased negative behavior, marked improvement in communication and social skills, and improved coordination. To learn more I would absolutely visit their site at www.bbcenters.org and I would purchase the book “Disconnect Kids” written by the founder and creator of Brain Balance Centers—Dr. Robert Melillo. I recently purchased the book and I am working my way through it. If anyone is interested I would be more than happy to share it once I finish the book. Just let me know.
